Wahroonga Twilight Jazz Concert
Wooooo Hooooo!! I've just had one of the best nights!! Carl was fantastic. It was just brilliant. We got there just on time and had the perfect spot to sit right up close to the stage! Carl came on just before it got dark and my camera cooperated with me so I was happy to get some great shots! He sang for about an hour - sang a couple of songs from his album and 2 songs from Idol; Just Kiss Me & Reminiscing. (Amanda has the song list) He was quite nervous but put on a really entertaining show!! The atmosphere was great and there was no dodgy lighting or smoke to fight against lol I have to say, Amanda and I screamed the loudest - we put all those other girls to shame! lol Carl wasn't signing afterwards, but after putting forward our stalking techniques, we caught up with him before he left and got some autographs...and I got to give him a kiss on the cheek So, what can I say! Carl gives so much on stage and he is awesome to watch. Okay, enough of talking...here are my pics!! I took over 100 photos tonight but I think these are the best from the lot. Enjoy :)
Haha - Amanda and I turned PAPARAZZI and snuck over for a few pics whilst he was warming up :)

And he was on stage for about an hour!!!! woohoo!! I reckon this will be a good warm up for his tour that he'll hopefully be doing when his album comes out!! Oh i do hope he tours!!!!! And I just can't wait to hear all those songs on his new album...I hope they're all on there!!! He looks just so cool in his suit and I love his hair a bit shorter too... One more look at all the pics, then I'd better head off to bed where I will hopefully dream about our gorgeous guy!!! Looking forward to any more pics you have kris!! Thanks so much hon for posting them here and telling us about the show!!!

Oh he looks so gorgeous Kris. I think from your pics we can actually see him start out a little nervous and then warm to his songs as the photos progress. Good on you gals for screaming the loudest and showing your support, you probably helped him relax quicker.
Hey Amanda, gorgeous girl - you're conspicuous by your absence - haven't you recovered yet? Somebody get that girl some smelling salts, she's fainted!

Re: Wahroonga Twilight Jazz Concert
hey guys i was on last night but it wasn't letting me post for some reason may be the prehistoric computer im currently using as mine is stuffed.
but yes carl was so dreamy and we did scream the loudest and after reminising he was thanking the crowd for coming and especially walked over to our side of the stage and waved to us, ahhhhhhhhhh i was in heaven he so scoped out where we were like we could make him not know as kris said we were full paparazi style. i have photo's but wont be able to upload them until i get my computer back on possibley thursday sorry guys.
all in all a fantastic show in a intimate and family orientated setting definately he's type of gig comfort zone although he did seem extreamly nervous.
back with photo's shortly.

Re: Wahroonga Twilight Jazz Concert
Kris, they're such beautiful leafy twilight shots...romance written all over them...altogether adorable!!
Thanks for all the effort!!
I guess Carl wouldn't have done much solo public gigging since Idol, so he probably had to get back into the swing of things, if you'll pardon that woeful pun, hehe!
So looking forward to your shots too, amanda, when you get them up and running!! Computers are our enemies I tell ya!!
Lucky ducks the two of you; and thanks for the news!! Yay Carl!!
And Kris, love your autographed Carl Art - his scrawl is most distinguished, don't ya think?
Seriously, have you thought about a career in this field? Your artwork is stunning!!

Re: Wahroonga Twilight Jazz Concert
Gimme more, more, more! They are all great shots Kris. Can't wait for your shots now Amanda. Let's have more chiseled jaw, sinewy neck tendons, expressive long hands. What's with the big knotted tie though? I think Rachel may have seen some of our descriptions of honey-man's 'open necked shirt and shadowy glimpses of manly chest' posts and picked out his shirt and tie for him! She'd be fussing backstage brushing down his shoulders and giving the tie another hefty tug, 'C'mon Carl darls, I know it feels a little constricting but I saw this in Ralph mag, it's the hot new look, believe me - sure you can breathe hon, can't have your throat catching a chill in the night air now can we?' tug, tug. ;)
Just having a joke guys. :silent: Just imagining what I'd do if he was mine!
Actually I really like the whole look. Love that debonair hand in pocket pose. And no matter how big the tie there's no hiding that lovely neck and jaw.

Re: Wahroonga Twilight Jazz Concert
Thanks guys, glad you enjoyed them. Most were close-ups but who would take lots of far away shots when I was sitting as close as I was!! :?:
Angeo, your hilarious! You always make me laugh. He looked really suave in his suit and I loved the white tie!! He was just gorgeous...as always!
Sensor - thanks for your comment! I really enjoy doing the Carl Art and love playing around with the pics and seeing what I can come up with. Ahh wouldn't it be great just looking at Carl all day on the computer and jazzing his photos up?!! Glad you guys are enjoying them and most importantly, Carl is enjoying them!! I think we have all done a great job with our Carl Art ;)
...Think up some more Carl creations...

Re: Wahroonga Twilight Jazz Concert
oh my.... that one of him singing with his eyes closed and the vein standing out in his neck... oh Kris these are just awesome!!!!
And thanks amanda!! Cant wait to see your pics darl!!! awwww....poor babe....he was nervous... I said to Kris last night that it was strange that he was so nervous cos he never really looked nervous on Idol, but then jodes mentioned that this really is the first time he's been out on his own singing a whole set of songs, rather than just the one 2minute song on Idol.... I'm sure once he's done a few shows and sung his songs a few times over, that he'll lose those nerves and just enjoy himself!! I do remember him saying on Idol that he needed to practice looking relaxed on stage....maybe he just has to do that again for a while cos he always looked relaxed to me so it must have worked!! oh I love these pics... going back for yet another look!!!

I'm drinkin' in those lovely veins in his neck too! (insert little vampire emoticon here). But my favourite is definitely the hand in pocket pose. It's the curve of that gorgeous taut butt that's got me totally mesmerised.
