Photo's - size limit and how to upload to forum

To keep the forum loading as quickly as possible, could you make sure your photos are resized to maximum 700 pixels width and 100000 bytes.

Instructions for an excellent Photo host server, Photobucket, have been posted by Kris below - scroll down to see. There are other sites on the net... just Google 'Image Server' and quite a few will come up.

Enjoy posting pics of our lovely Carl or if you feel game enough, post a pic of yourself in the Pics thread!!

kris click on registar then on avatar then you can upload a photo from you personal files.

Speaking of photos... I'm thinking that with all the excitement of this new forum I've lost a few brain cells. You mentioned two Carl photo galleries but I can't seem to find them anywhere :confused:

Some of us seem to be having a bit of trouble posting pictures, so I will post some instructions for you all! I hope this makes things a bit easier.
If you register with photobucket.com, this is a very easy way to store your photos and post them on the forum.

Photobucket Instructions
* Once you have registered, log in.
* When you have logged in, the page will come where you can upload and view your photos (Your Album). This is the main page you will use.
* To upload a photo - You will see the upload section on this page. Firstly select what type of image you want to upload (image from pc, web url etc).
* If using a web url - just copy and paste the link for your pic
* If using a pic saved on your pc, click Browse and find the pic. This will pop up in the Broswe box.
* Click Upload! - Depending on how fast your computer is, do one or two pics at a time. Once you have uploaded your pics, they will appear on the page.
* To post a pic onto the Forum - Once your pic is uploaded in photobucket, you will see a number of links under the pic. Left click on the IMG code to highlite it. Rick click and copy. Paste it where you want the pic on the forum and there you go!


It is pretty straight forward, but pm me if you have any probs. Happy to help.

Just an update - if you delete your pic from photobucket, it also removes it from the forum!
