sitting in the silence,
staring at the walls,
i notice alot has changed for me,
the room is not so small.
the wall that represents my life,
was once upon a time empty and bare,
but now it's filled with passion, love and desire,
and a life i'd like to share.
upon this wall hangs many frames,
with an individual memory to go along,
unfortunatly for me that's all they are,
as anything else would be considered wrong.
at times i wonder if it's lust or hype,
or even my imagination running wild,
or wether you are that prince charming image,
i created for myself to find as a child.
i feel a strong connection,
it's strange i know but true,
i feel a constant drawing power pulling me,
when it comes to you.
so sitting in the silence of my room,
there's only one thing i can do,
and that is wake up from this dream i'm in,
and stop myself from drowning in you.

Carl was my idol of choice
I looked forward every week to hearing his beautiful voice
The lucky fans who have gotten to meet him all say he is so very noice (hehe sorry about the Kath and Kim ism)

Every week his performances were of the highest command
He held all the audiences in the palm of his hand
I would sit at home watching, smiling, clapping wildly and saying that he is grand.

I could listen to his voice all day long
To hell with the critics who claimed it is not that strong

All we want now is to hear Carl sing
and to tell everyone, boy how this young man can do swing
and we look forward to what next his journey will bring

I have got one more

Matt and Nat are off to the Opera House
Even though our fave Carl won't be battling it out
Still I am sure it will be grouse

For Carl will be there
of the final 12 a part
Still singing to us right from his heart

Now who will win, I do not know
Between Matt and Nat, I sway to and fro
Either one of them would be an Idol fine
Wonder which of them will get over the line

The first time ever I have agreed with the final three
Just not in the order it turned out to be

Never mind that just now, I will still tune in
To see just who claims the new Idol win

I really didn't want to continue watching Idol this year, if both Carl and Nat didn't make it into the final 12 mix
Now I am really missing my weekly Carl singing fix
he came so very far, all his fans think he is swell
His journey is far from over,
for the future we hope all goes well.

We voted for the Idol in whom we all believe
And we will stay right behind him, in all he achieves

To the critics who said his voice was not strong
Why does that in your eyes seem so wrong,
All of us fans on this forum shout out and implore
Carl gave us everything and then even more
To end this short poem, that is why he is the idol we all adore

Now to get this poem started onto Nat
I really am kind of hoping she will beat Matt
After all she is my second fave
And about her, I really do rave

(but not as much as I do about Carl, of course)

I miss the video diaries
I miss the Sunday shows,
I miss the group performances
I miss the star that glows…

It’s been two weeks now
I’m beginning to feel lost,
When will I see you again?
What will be the cost?

Everything feels different
It just doesn’t feel the same,
Until I see you tomorrow night
When the presenters call your name!

Then until the day comes
When your album hits stores
I will be waiting in line
Then barging through the doors!

You are on a fresh path now, Carl. Looking forward to that album, it’s all I think about!

I have made up some more for you all

Just a few mere moments on the Grand Finale was not nearly enough
We just cannot wait to get our hands on more of Carl's stuff
The cd's and concert tickets that we'd all be lined up to buy

To shout out to Australia how much we love this guy.

Here is the other one

Only one of Carl's performances did I miss out on seeing on tv
The only song I didn't know before was "Just Kiss Me"
Never mind it was the first time of me hearing that song
Carl left us feeling as though we had known it all along

The song goes at quite a frenetic pace
but he performed it with such style and grace

Such great interaction with the audience and band
One of his very best performances, I thought it was very grand

The performance that I missed was "Clocks", I have since seen it on the net

Mark Holden, shut your mouth, Carl not only swings, Carl rocks.

here are some more, you know it is just so easy to make up poems for Carl, I keep having all these happy memories of his performances on Idol and the inspirations begin.

Judges Choice night and now it is time for Dicko's pick
Just what had he chosen for Carl
A Tom Jones classic, they announced before the break

As a Tom Jones fan myself, I said it surely will be great

"It's Not Unusual" announced James and G
Couldn't help myself, I let out a shout of glee

For this is my favorite Tom Jones song
and Carl would be singing it through my tv to me

For love I do, this wonderful Tom Jones song, but when Carl began those now famous first bars
I did kind of wonder what had gone wrong.

But what he broke into next was simply "the bomb"
We knew he had it in him all the long

The judges were both captivated and captured
The fans, they were raptured

At the end his trumpet blown
In a few short weeks, yes this guy has really grown
Mark gave the touchdown we had all been waiting for
Which just made us want even more, so much more.

love the poems guys! heres mine:

It was idol’s biggest night of the year.
You weren’t in the running but
we were still there to cheer.
for you and the final 12 would sing
a chorus, a line or a verse of a song
However the lead up to this was long
past idols and icons of the music world
had come to open up the show
as we waited patiently ‘til it was ur go.
Finally the final 10 group performance
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9…
oh but where were you?
this was not a good sign.
The choir on the stairs sang beautifully as they parted
it was then we knew the night had finally started!
for up on top of the stairs
It was you
and Only you.
we screamed and cheered and jumped for joy.
for it’d been 2 weeks since we’d seen our boy.
it was good to see you once again
so relaxed and enjoying
with your new friends
the journey for you has just begun
your last song has definitely not been sung.
So good luck to you and your career ahead.
Swing and jazz you’ve shared and spread.

btw just wanted to congratulate golden, ambercat, amanda renee, kriss and everyone else for creating such an awesome site!
u may or not remember me but i was "carlishot" on the AI forums soz it took me so long to intro myself! :)

Carl came third
This truly means us fans want him to go on being heard
Please do not let his talent slip away
We need to hear him again someday

Very soon.....,or rather asap, I just might add here

Our votes may not have gotten him to the very top
But we still consider him the cream of the crop

Now I do think Nat is a really worthy winner and the Idol crown she did get
But it is Carl that us fans just can't forget.

Music companies, where is your paper and where is your pen?

The biggest question on all of our lips is that word................. when?

time can be so cruel sometimes,
sitting here waiting for you,
just a word or sentence or a phrase,
is all i need to not feel blue.
but they come so infrequently,
one minuet your here then you go,
and that minuet isn't quite long enough,
for us to fully let you know.
just exactly what you mean to us,
and how much you have touched our hearts,
and how every second without you around,
tears us a little more apart.
we love you carl and are dedicated to you,
more and more each day,
and all we really want from you,
is a message to know your ok.
so please drop in from time to time,
a little less infrequently if you can,
because my dear carl there's a lot of us,
who just wanna hear from our number one man.

YOU CARL!!! XXX

Lovely poetry everyone! I haven't got one poetic bone in my body - just can't put two rhyming words together, but you girls have written some beautiful poems here - I know Carl used to read the poems on the Australian Idol forums and I hope he comes over here to read these new ones as well. Keep on writing the poems as Carl is a wonderful inspiration isn't he! Very Happy

Poetry Titanic1

titanic was called the ship of dreams,
for both the rich and the poor,
different cultures, different backgrounds,
combined on the boats timbered floor.

and on the ship that was so large,
the pretty little rich girl had nowhere to run,
to get away from all the pressures of money,
unhappy marriage and mothers forked tongue.

so to the back of the ship she ran,
with the plan of ending it all,
when along came poor boy jack,
who showed she had so much to live for.

the pair they got to talking,
although they were different in so many ways,
but relised that each others company,
was the highlight of both their days.

dancing, and drinking, and
flying through the air,
they felt like king and queen of the world,
and forgot all their cares.

then dusk hit and out of nowhere,
tragedy had struck,
a massive iceburg had hit the ship,
they knew they where short of luck.

as the ship went down,
he promised her long life,
dying as an old lady warm in her bed,
and a world without trouble or strife.

she in return promised,
she'd never let go,
she'd love him forever,
her heart she gave him so.

and as they were floating,
out there in the cold,
he's life had disapeared,
the man she loved more than diamonds or gold.

and 80 years on,
no one ever knew,
about the man called jack,
and the love on that ocean so blue.

as an old woman,
laying warm in her bed,
she also disapered,
into the land of the dead.

where she once again met,
the man she'd never let go,
and they now live in heaven together,
as the happiest couple you could ever know.

Poetry Ghost_bluray_movie1secondtry

molly and sam where lovers,
they held each other close in there hearts,
but every time molly said i love you,
sam would say ditto as the other words were just to hard.

molly accepted this although,
it made her sad,
but she never knew how sam felt,
and at times she felt bad.

then one night they were walking,
after a great night out alone,
when along came a man with a gun,
a loud shot noise the only tone.

sam lay dead bleeding in the street,
molly crying in despair,
as she lost the man she loved so much,
and never knew how much he cared.

it's as if she could still feel him,
he's breath, he's touch, he's smell,
although she didnt believe in ghosts,
he was there and she could tell.

out of nowhere came a medium,
a person she though was a fraud at first,
but the woman knew things she couldnt possibly know,
she knew this woman had a gift for the cursed.

the woman then told molly that sam said i love you,
to which she replied he'd never say that,
then that magic word ditto was uttered,
and she new instantly he ment that.

her heart was all a flutter,
cause now she finally knew,
that the man she loved so much,
truelly did love her to.

and as he finally got the chance,
to say what he couldn't for so long,
the angels came down from heaven,
to take he's soul where it belong.

in the bright light that was shinning down,
molly got to see him one more time,
the man she loved and long to be with,
and knew that she would be fine.

but the moral to the story is,
you never know when it will be to late,
so tell the one you want you love them,
cause sometimes life don't wait.

an opportunity may pass you by,
and a life filled with regret,
is something no one wants to live with,
so say it and never forget.

I LOVE YOU!!!!
