Limericks From Idol
by Admin on Sat 17 Nov 2007 - 16:40

When I first went looking for these I was going to name it Altairs Limmericks from Idol...she is soooooo clever, but then I noticed a couple on the last 3 pages from Bettina, Blondmama and me!

I have only copied the ones from carls fans...and if anyone else joins us and their limericks aren't here, please feel free to post them.

Limmericks from Idol

Altair - Posted: 24/09/2007 12:30

There once was an idol named Brianna
For whom singing covers proved a dilemma
So with her fringe on an angle
The cover songs she did mangle
Now she's free to follow her artistic endeavour

Altair - Posted: 25/09/2007 12:35

Poor Lana she struggled with disco
trying to sing that song by Moloko
But sing it back she had to
And a good job she did do
The following night on the results show!

Altair - Posted: 25/09/2007

So Marty didn't do disco per se
But Kyle like it anyway!
On a show about mirror b a l l s
Marty sang about miracles
And that's why he got away with singing reggae!

Altair - Posted: 25/09/2007 20:12

This year's thinking woman's crumpet
Is that guy who can play the trumpet
His style is swing
And man! can he sing
And Mark Holden can like it or lump it!

Altair - Posted: 27/09/2007 11:50

Oh my heart it does a-flutter
When I think of this year's rock star
My amps he does raise
When he tears up the stage
High Voltage - that's Mark Da Costa!

Altair - Posted: 28/09/2007

They were hopeless at rock and roll
But on acoustic night they'll show some soul
Open Your Eyes
We're in for a surprise
But will Marty butcher Snow Patrol?

Altair Posted: 28/09/2007 13:03

I look forward to the show each Sunday
But then I'm hoping for my faves to stay
So it is with much dread
That I sit on a spoiler thread
Waiting for grapey's love each Monday!

Altair Posted: 28/09/2007 13:27

The judges must think we're fools
When they said "the themes have rules!"
'Cause we were here last year
And not a note of rock we did hear
When Bobby Flynn sang about London's Werewolves

Altair Posted: 28/09/2007 16:42

There is an idol stylist named Sheridan
Who thinks he dresses the idols better than they can
But rock night was a shocker
In future, don't go near my rocker
'Cause Sheridan, your styles I can't stand!

Altair Posted: 3/10/2007 10:44

On idol we had a gorgeous rock star
And I really hoped he would go far
But my heart, it broke
When the Nation spoke
How do I say goodbye to Mark Da Costa?

Altair Posted: 8/10/2007 11:50

Another Monday, another verdict show
And someone will have to go
But tonight I will grit my teeth
'Cause I have to endure Damien Leith
As he sings more of his bleedin' falsetto

Altair Posted: 8/10/2007 16:36

Mondays are always a bit tough
And tonight Damo will be strutting his stuff
It might be pure and clear
But his falsetto hurts my ear
Winning once was more than enough!

Altair Posted: 8/10/2007 19:50 opened my eyes like you suggested
And the falsetto I have again re-tested
Sighing - I'll leave that to you
Cause crying was all I could do
Holey moley, was that a cow he ingested?

Altair Posted: 9/10/2007 13:57

I think my heart's gonna break
I don't wanna say goodbye to Jake
I feel like I'm grieving
Cause all my faves are leaving
Just how much more of this can I can take

Altair Posted: 9/10/2007 16:14

oh please don't be cruel sushisuede
My feelings are already flayed
Jake was from the start
Such a gorgeous sweetheart
I'd give anything for him to have stayed

Altair Posted: 9/10/2007 20:02

Your words brought a tear to my eye
Seems like all I've done today is cry
I so wanted Jacob to stay
But what idol giveth, it taketh away
Goodbye my lil' bear cub ... goodbye

Altair Posted: 9/10/2007 23:12

There once was an idol named Benji Mack
And on his T-shirt he wore the Union Jack
When Kyle called him a geek
He said "you say that each week"
Look out! The idols are fighting back!

Altair Posted: 10/10/2007 09:42

When there was nine, I was in heaven
But two weeks later, there's only seven
They sang their songs fine
So why is there a bloody red line
Under Mark and Jacob's pictures, then

Altair Posted: 10/10/2007 10:02

Singing covers he doesn't espouse
But through each week of idol he plows
I think it's really noice
That his fans like his voice
But I can't get past those bushy eyebrows

Altair Posted: 19/10/2007 20:12

Phantom of the Opera - what a treat!
No chandalier? - I'll take a front row seat
Matt will sing with all his might
But will he make the song take flight?
If he does - it'll be an amazing feat!

Altair Posted: 20/10/2007 16:26

Carl's performance of Pure Imagination
Oh! the memories of that room of temptation
A room where you can sup
From an edible buttercup!
That was gorgeous, Carl ... you are a sensation

Altair Posted: 28/10/2007 21:38

There once was an idol named Tari Vushe
Is she genuine or is it all a display?
Mark slammed her for being a fake
And then Dicko rode in his wake
As for the forums - I'll stay out of the fray!

Altair Posted: 28/10/2007 23:21

Not for Carl what happened to Ben
The bottom 3, never again!
With credit on hand
And an eye to Big Band
SMS Carl to nineteen-ten-ten

Altair Posted: 31/10/2007 12:38

Quietly spoken she was on the stage
But behind the scenes she was on a rampage
Mark copped a spray
From boom boom Vushe
Acting her shoe size ... but not her age

Altair Posted: 31/10/2007 13:01

The tension was more than we could stand
Then the cheers rang out across the land!
Not for Nat who got through
Nor for Tari ... boo hoo
But for the sailor who's going to Big Band!

Bettina - Posted: 31/10/2007 22:41

love darling Carl, that's true
But I also like Tarisai too.
She's been dealt a harsh blow
by MARK and D1CK-O
Singers of such quality are few.

Bettina Posted: 1/11/2007 08:40

Whether or not Miss V was a fake,
Is not anyone's judgement to make.
ALL performers pretend,
It's the means to an end;
Her fine singing should've been judged for its own sake.

Altair Posted: 1/11/2007 20:34

Have we really seen the last of Nana Bogon
Now that Tarisai has been and gone?
On and on he would prat
Plod this and plod that
Like a shrine his thread keeps on keeping on!

Goldenoldie - Posted: 2/11/2007 12:18
It's off to the Opera House we go
With all of Carls' fan base in tow
For he will WIN
It's not a sin
He's unique, so will beat all his foe

Goldenoldie - Posted: 2/11/2007 12:22

Finally, Big Band night has come around
Matt Marty & Nat's fans have gone to ground
For Carl has really got it made
The other idols sure to fade
It's swing it's big it's magic its Carls' sound

Goldenoldie - Posted:2/11/2007 13:56

Connicks' 'Just Kiss Me' and Bubles' Mrs Jones
Are Carls' Big Band Choices - amazing tones.
Sure to be a big hit
These sounds will surely fit
And when his trumpet comes out he'll melt my bones

Goldenoldie - Posted: 2/11/2007 14:10

Carls gonna win and I'll drink to that
There's no way the thing is going to Matt
Cause Carl's just too good
The proofs in the 'pud'
And there's even less chance for our Nat.

Blondmama - Posted: 2/11/2007 14:35

Carl Riseley's going to win
'Cos he's the King of Swing
Sorry Matt, Marty & Nat
You?ll just have to get over that
Your contract with BMG?s not going to begin!

Bettina - Posted: 2/11/2007 15:04

There once was a sailor, Carl Riseley
Who entered Aus Idol so wisely.
He sang and he swang
His horn beautifully rang
Please vote for him not oncely but thricely! (don't be miserly!)
