That's just become my new favourite quote - it's really something.
Especially since I've just discovered I'm going to be an Aunty for the first time!! Woohoo!!!

I don't know what Aunts actually do in the grand scheme of things, except be there; but I think being a friend is a great first step; and playing their song back, if they forget the words - think I can do that...

I'm going on a spending spree for baby clothes - all neutral of course; and classical CDs - they're supposed to stimulate intelligence - and maybe some baby-calming CDs to help him/her sleep...

And then I'm just going to spoil her/him rotten and the parents can suffer the consequences!! (That's a payback, for all the times my bro. teased/ignored/humiliated me!! hehehe )

yes you will definately be a great aunty if you introduce him/her to the soft musical talent of carl riseley. i think every baby should be introduced to such a musical influence, and then we might have a wave of sensitive, caring humans in the future just like our honey man carl.

^ My friends from Qld came over on the train ... they had a stop-over in Kalgoorlie and my g/f was telling me the stories of how the pubs tried to circumvent the decency/hygiene laws (apparently selling booze sans clothing was illegal hehe). Anyway, one of the ways they tried to get around it was by wearing clingfilm/gladwrap ... of course, I had to add my little bit "speaking of gladwrap .... " hehehehehee ... thanks again Sensor ... great timing! :lol:
