wahroonga park and the smell of trees,
and that soothing voice echoing in the breeze,
carl was definately out to please,
the crowd that turned out there.

the clapping of the crowd was loud,
in the night sky there wasn't a cloud,
and everyone who cares about carl was so proud,
that the great crowd turned up there.

the trumpets where blowing and saxaphones to,
there's never been an aussie quite as true blue,
as the one and only carl that we all knew,
who entertained the crowd that was there.

as always looking great in he's pin stripped suit,
he was looking hot, smoking and super beaut,
the one thing i wanna do is to give him a ???? big hug. (haha)
but obviously not infront of the crowd that was there.

i can't wait until the next carl gig,
i know it will be better than big,
and get me excited like a little kid,
jumping in the crowd of people that are there.

the rise is coming,
it's nearly here,
the rise is coming,
let's give a cheer.
for the honeyman who created it,
and he's management crew,
for universal records,
and all us fans to.
it's gonna be massive,
it's gonna be great,
it's gonna be number 1,
in every australian state.
and australia will be swinging,
the young and the old,
and at the end of carl's rainbow,
will be pots of fortune and gold.
so congrats to our man,
who's definately on the rise,
i'm sure to all us fans,
it comes as no surprise.
and to those who judged him,
in the past and were wrong,
can you please sit back,
and just listen to he's song.
don't feel the need for comment,
just sit and agree,
that carl is the idol,
we all knew he'd be.

i still love you carl more and more every day. AS+CR ALWAYS I love you

For better or worse Angeo, it's a sensor original, hehe
Was just thinking about Carl's journey, from that so-nervous guy on Idol, producing different little gems every show, to the artist whose first album is being released this very week...
He's doing gigs and having interviews and dealing with the public and becoming really accomplished.
I guess like everyone else on this forum, I'm so proud of all he's doing; and I'm just wishing his album to be a HUGE hit.I love you
And you couldn't have named him better than honeyman, in every way...

mother of mercy,
mother of god,
how could you make us,
all fall so hard,
for this lushious adonis,
who's so charming and debonaire,
from his sparkling brown eyes,
to that chocolaty brown hair.
just one word from he's mouth,
what more can we do,
he makes us all shaky at the knees,
yes it's so true.
carl is the greatest,
and nicest person in our world,
we love how he danced,
sang, blew and twirled.
so this is about a guy who is our everything,
our breath, our thoughts, our dreams,
and nothing or no-one will ever match up,
to the amazing carl riseley it seems.

MWAH BABE WE LOVE YOU!!!

Oh girls. You are clever with your poetry! I wouldn't know how to start. I just keep thinking of other poems 'how do I love thee? Let me count the ways, I love you to the depth and breadth . . .something or another . . . my soul can reach' Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Sooooo romantic. Will think of something original another time. Right now I've imbibed too much wine. (Oooooh that's nearly a rhyme). Razz

I've gotta ask though Amanda, were those latest photos of Honeyman at the fashion show what inspired your latest poem? 'luscious adonis' 'sparkling eyes'. Yep. Those pics sure got me all 'shaky at the knees' too. I'm going to have one more look before I turn in tonight. ....*sigh*

Oh how wonderful last Friday morning to see
The wonderful and delectable Carl on all our tv's

His beautiful, smooth mellow voice such a pleasure as always to hear
I'd been emotional all morning, it being Anzac Day, but when he played "The Last Post", I really did shed some tears.

Then on Sunday afternoon at Borders, my own birthday present to me
Was a personally signed copy of Carl's absolutely gorgeous cd

How fantastic to meet him finally face-to- face
Mum and myself were discussing afterwards his style and his grace

Carl you should be of your cd, so very, very proud
All of your friends and fans here on the forum will keeping expressing just how proud we are of you, really clear and loud.

This wonderful cd is leading me to feel very creative. Two new poems

Music is found in just so many ways
I just so hate it when you speak of Idol and people's eyes just glaze

Music, no matter what the genre, if it touches your heart and soul
Well that is most musicians in this world's ultimate goal

They all try so many different avenues to get their music heard
Whether it be on Idol, Myspace or doing the circuit of pubs
A listen of their work is what they deserve

I think Carl's star will surely shine
Just to think only a year ago, he was waiting nervously in the audition line
Now he's recorded an album which is way more than just good
I think it has all of the qualities a great cd should
You can sit down and relax
Turn the volume up to the max
Great music to which you can unwind
Carl is breathing new life into timeless songs
He is a true gem of an Aussie find
Plus he's a lovely guy with whom to speak
Shame on those critics who earlier on said his voice was weak
With this cd I shall never part
For this is music that will connect with your heart.

Carl's instore at Borders was so good last week
He had all of the ladies gushing and commenting oh how sweet

Then when he broke out into song
Well that is what we had been waiting for all the long

Carl's voice is so gorgeous, mellow and sweet
I am sure we all could have stayed there for an eternity listening to him
Borders should have provided us all with seats

Now about the trumpet, just what can I say,
but oh how we all did swoon
At the gorgeous sounds of these timeless tunes.

After that we all gathered for the chance to speak
With this young, gorgeous, talented young man,
who has truly made all of our knees go weak

Even the nice friendly security man commented on how Carl's music was oh so fine
and he had an easy job of it that day, as we all kept an orderly line

We really were quite the civilised bunch
and it was also so nice to hear during Carl's interview
that he meets Daniel M regularly to do lunch

A signed cd, a great big smile and such a lovely greet
For those who have yet to, he is such a lovely person to meet

So well put Yvonne I agree with every word
about how all artists/musicians should be heard
And we are lucky Oz Idol gave us the platform
Through which this star The Rise is born
Although meeting Carl is still so elusive
I know from other fans he's never exclusive
And I look forward to his performance in Perth
(although I'd go to the ends of this Earth!)
and well beyond the day I get to meet this man
Through his timeless music I'll be eternally a fan.

Fairfield RSL what a great gig,
even Elise got up for a bit of a jig,
the crowd at the show was quite big,
to watch our honeyman carl.

Kris took a snap of that sexy face,
and some random lady was in carl's dance space,
but the show continued on at the correct tempo and pace,
as we watched our honeyman carl.

Ashley made a joke or 2,
and Andrew looked as if he'd had a few,
and Aaron on the geetar what more could we do,
but share in the laughs with our honeyman Carl.

we lined up to greet our man,
and tell him once again we are a fan,
then hugged him and shook he's hand,
as we left our honeyman Carl.

and as we walked away,
i'm sure i could here him say,
please don't go but stay,
here with me your honeyman Carl.

so without any further ado,
we waited at the end of the queue,
and sat with him and had a few.
what an amazing night with our honeyman Carl.

hehe ok so the last bit didn't actually happen but hey i had fun imagining it when i wrote it. LOL.
