Hi Carl,

Great performance at the NYE celebrations. You actually solved something for me regarding the name of that song, so thankyou for that too. I recently heard Rod Stewart singing that same song on the radio, it is from one of his ASB volumes that is currently in the shops. Now I knew the tune immediately whilst he was singing it,and was actually humming along, but the stupid radio announcer did not give out name of song either before or after playing it and it is so frustrating when they do that. What I am saying is that I never knew the name of the tune until now, from coming on here and looking to see the performance again, (I knew it would be on here). I do know that many artists have performed it though over the years.

Carl dropped by tonight and joined us in the chat box!! woohoo!! Just thought I'd share the news that he is currently planning the songs to go on his album and that Pure Imagination and Reminiscing are both going to be on it!!! He wouldnt tell us any more songs tho!!! ;) He also said that he may have another gig on the Gold Coast in February but he wasnt sure yet... I definitely live in the wrong state!!! It was so nice of him to come over and chat to us and when he had to go, he signed off..."Love you all!!!"

*wipes tear from eye* lol I can't believe I missed Carl in the chat box....for a SECOND TIME!

gee..it was a while ago...but I think he was here for about 20 minutes or so? That was back when he wasn't so busy and had a bit more time....I miss those days, but at the same time, I'm soooooo happy that he is busy and working hard!!!!

How are you?Enjoying your first tour I hope, it sounds wonderful. I couldn't make it this time round, but we certainly did love meeting you a few weeks back at Borders Highpoint in Melbourne. Sadly my camera (disposable one was not working properly, I spend too much money on music and of course the dreaded bills, to buy myself a decent camera), so I didn't get a photo with you that day.

I have kind of a question that you may or may not be able to answer, but I shall ask away. There is a Tony Bennett song I really like called "Young, Warm and Wonderful", I would dearly love to know which cd of his many, many it is on,as all the ones I have seen in the shops do not have it on them, it is frustrating. I heard it being played recently on am radio, it is a really gorgeous song( all of Tony's are)- you would sing it wonderfully too, by the way. I have asked people on other forums too, if they know and I have searched( or at least tried to) all of his cd's on the Amazon site. Maybe I am completely wrong and the song isn't called that at all, I am not completely sure, but I listened for the radio announcer to say the name of the tune and I am think that is what he said.


My mum isn't sure either about the title of the song, ( probably my late grandma would have been the one to know, she loved music, was very knowledgeable about it, she played the piano ( so do I (sometimes) and she was a very big Dean Martin, Perry Como and Nat King Cole fan, she was- even contemporary stuff- she adored Josh Groban and Il Divo- even Bon Jovi she liked. ( I am sorry she never got to see Josh, he came to tour, not long after she passed away last year, but I had tickets for his show.We had her favorite song of his playing at her funeral, I was crying when he sang the song "To Where You Are", at his concert, it is a gorgeous song, thinking of my gran, and well needless to say I think Josh is wonderful too, have all of his cd's).

Or maybe I could ask the guy who has been playing your cd regularly during the early hours of the morning on 3AW- Alan Pearsall, he seems to know heaps about music ( and really good music at that too). I have been able to add some real gems to my cd collection thanks to him- I already had your cd a couple of days before the instore at Highpoint- Sanity had it on sale on Anzac Day- I just had to quickly do a spot of shopping and I saw this girl walk out of the shops with a Sanity bag in her hand and I immediately wondered if the cd would be on sale that day and there it was.

Please excuse my warbling on and on, but yeah I just thought I would ask if you perhaps knew what cd of his it may be on. It doesn't matter if you don't. I will just keep on trying.
