what songs remind you of carl?

just out of curiousity i have made this topic to see what songs remind people of Carl and why? basically i want you guys to make a cd compilation of 10 songs that remind you of Carl ( not what you want him to sing or what he has sung ) but other songs that mean something to you and remind you of Carl.

mine would be as follows:
1) almost unreal by roxette - " i love when you do that hocus pocus to me the way that you touch, youvé got the power to heal, you give me that look it's almost unreal, it's almost unreal."

i love this ballad by roxette and everytime i hear it i think of the jitteryness i feel each and every time i'm around Carl, talk to Carl, write to Carl. basically the way i feel when Carl is near me is Almost Unreal everytime.

2) i knew i loved you before i met you - by savage garden - "i think i dreamed you into life"

never a truer word spoken the images i have had from such a young age of mister right ( prince charming ) is Carl through and through hair, build, smile, humour, personality, musicality, sentimentality everything basically i hear this song and do believe that i dreamt Carl into life.

3) you dont know me - michael buble, "you will never know the one who love's you so cause you don't know me"

i know i said not songs that Carl has sung as such but this so very much reminds me of Carl in the fact that i know how much i admire and adore him but unfortunately i'm the fan in the background and not the lead role
so it's kinda i really want you but never gonna get you song but still has to be part of my compilation.

4) believe it or not ( greatest AUSTRALIAN hero) - "believe it or not, i'm walking on air, i never thought that this could be, flying away on a wing and a prayer, who could it be? believe it or not it's just me"

i really wanted Carl to sing this during idol as he did come such a long way through the competition and did end up becoming an australian idol hero, and i really think the lyric's in this song capsulated he's idol journey.

5) especially for you - kylie minogue and jason donavan "and all the love i have is especially for you"

basically pig's might fly but if i ever got the opportunity to do a duet with our gourgous honeyman this is the song i would want to do the connection they had together i think would be a piece of cake " for me to pull off anyway " love the song and love the guy i'd be singing it about.

6) to be with you - mr big "i'm the one who want's to be with you, deep inside i hope you feel it to, waited on a line , waited on that line, just to be the next to be with you "

self explaintory really waiting with a long line of other fans waiting to be next in line however i'm pretty sure the line is wasting their time as he has Rach will be a very very very long term thing i'm guessing.

7) just kiss me - harry conick jr "do you think i should repeat?"

again i know i said songs that Carl doesn't sing but this is my ultimate scream as loud as you can for Carl song and i love it, and it always reminds me of Carl.

your the inspiration - pete cetera "ÿour the meaning in my life your the inspiration"

basically the last 2 and a bit years my whole world has revolved around Carl, going to gigs, posting on forums, buying cd's, traveling interstate it's all been Carl related he has inspired me to go places where i otherwise would never have gone so Carl is my inspiration

9) addicted - by ronan keating "and i guess if that's addiction, then i guess that i'm addicted and i guess that i'm your junkie fair enough"

yep like the quiz says i'm 100% Carl fan that eats, sleeps, dreams, breathes Carl which sounds great but sometimes does make me get into mood swings of highs and lows, and the inability to part fiction from reality but all in all it's a healthy addiction and when it starts getting tothe point of me sitting on he's front doorstep and breaking in through windows i don't think he's got to much to worry about.

10) have i told you lately ? - rod stewart
"you ill my heart with gladness take away all my sadness ease my troubles thats what you do"

and that he does, dosent matter how feral a mood i'm in i just put on my Carl cd or go into my shrine and chill out and what seems to be big issues or struggles just fade away, Carl really does fill my heart with so much gladness every single day mwah love you Carl.

That would make a great CD Amanda. It's quite a challenge you've issued though. I don't think I'll make ten. But I'll make a start.

Numero Uno. Ahem. Well one song that has always made me think of Carl is Mad About The Boy by Dinah Washington. I love to sing this in the shower…. I’m mad about the boy, and I know it’s stupid to be mad about the boy … ahahaha

Numero Due. I have to say Misty – Nat King Cole. …but it doesn’t count because it’s one I’ve always wanted to hear him sing. It would suit his voice and he'd sing it better than any version I've heard. ‘Walk my way, And a thousand violins begin to play, Or it might be the sound of your hello, That music I hear, I get misty, the moment you're near’

Tre. Just My Imagination - The Temptations. I've loved this song since I was twelve - the melody and soppy lyrics, and it encompasses all the unattainable crushes I've had since a kid. It still moves me.... And if you've read some of my posts, you might know I do tend to let my imagination run away with me as far as honeyman is concerned ... 'It was just my imagination, running away with me ...'

Quatro. Okay to get back to the older women besotted by talented younger man theme (as in numero uno) - I kind of identify with the Roberta Flack/Fugees song 'Killing Me Softly' - I heard he sang a good song, I heard he had a sound, and so I came to see him, and listen for a while

Cinque. All Around the World – Lisa Stanfield, ‘been around the world and I, I, I, I can’t find my baby ….’ I heard this on a plane recently and it reminded me that I always hope there will be a Carl concert to coincide with my trips but it never happens.

How am I doing so far? I will have to sleep on this to think of some more.

Lollipop, lollipop - of course!! - that's number six.

your doing very well with your list angeo, i especially like the been around the world and i i i can't find my baby song, i know exactly how stressful it must be for you to keep missing out as i was kicking myself last year when my perth trip didn't coincide with he's but dont worry cause "your gonna find him" hehe

I'm stumped. Can't really come up with anything much more. Maybe Boogie, Woogie, Bugle Boy by Bette Midler

All the rest are songs I'd like to hear Carl sing - like 'Tell It Like It Is', Aaron Neville, or 'Lately' by Stevie Wonder, 'Moondance' Van Morrison, 'Someone Like You', also Van Morrison.

And then there are romantic movie songs that remind me of Carl because they remind me of other hunks, Inner Smile by Texas always reminds me of Jonathon Rhys Meyers (Carl in sultry mode bears a remarkable resemblance to JRM) and 'Sparks' remind me of gorgeous Chris Martin and so .... *sigh* .... well he's just gorgeous too. Sounds like I've got a foursome happening here

Oh and hey - if there exists any song about jellybean buttons ...... and of course anything with mistletoe (I'll bet that little item sets off some pleasurable memories for a few others besides)

ohh hello...this is fun ar...okay....i probably gonna put my first three here..... my number one is definitely "Feel So Good" by Chuck Mangione....being an avid fan of brass and Chuck himself....I know this one have no lyrics but the title says it all....you can put lyrics set by your own imagination whatever you put baby...i know a lot of musician attempted to make lyrics to it...but hey the original no lyrics still the best....you can play it on a long road trip on your bentley or you can listen to it at a 5 star hotel lobby lounge/bar or listen to honeyman playing it....it's your choice love...and here it is once again...take it away chucky....

Of course the second one is also from my idol Herb Alpert...been listening to this since I was in highschool...and once again i say i am an avid fan of brass music...."Rise" by Herbie is as good as "Feel So Good" and because the title obviously will remind me of Carl as well....hehehe......no lyrics again......that means it's up to you again ladies (any gents 'round?).....and here it is....take it away herbie....
