My name is Kristen (Kris) and I am 23yrs old from Wollongong.
I have been working in the Child Care industry for about 4 years and currently studying for my Child Care Diploma.
Hobbies/ Interests - Movies, the beach, kids, music, and doing a bit of art and craft!
I absolutely love old music, especially Cat Stevens! He's a legend!
I go to the movies as often as possible - just love it. Fav movies are She's The Man and Billy Elliot.
I become easily addicted to things and my newest addiction is Carl Riseley and the forums!!

my name is amanda-renee and i am 26 y/o
i am an ingredient controller (basically i portion out food into correct weights so that the cooks can just chuck the recipe in a pot and stir it) heavy job do up 800kg of mashed potato a day without anything else. we cater for approx 60 hospitals across n.s.w. from bega and cooma in the south right up to orange and bathurst in the north.
my music is very eclectic i love my boy bands, (culture club and boyzone) my oldies (elvis, cat stevens, tom jones,) and my soundtracks, (grease, xanadu, dirty dancing, high school musical.) i also am very eclectic in movie taste i love my oldies (anything elvis, anything gene kelly or frank sinatra) i love my soppy romances ( the note book, ghost, just like heaven, cinderella story) and again my musicals (sound of music, grease 1 and 2, xanadu, singing in the rain) and of course my walt disney cartoons (love sleeping beauty, robin hood, aladdin)
i'm a home body as i love family and close friends and am to scared to travel on the off chance something will go wrong. i to am now addicted to carl riseley and forums discussing carl riseley.

I am pudel, and from Horsham in Victoria. I am married with 3 kids, and work in retail. I have not managed to get here until now because RL has taken hold. My brother got married a fortnight ago, my son was diagnosed with pneumonia, now much better, and we have just had a bushfire break out yesterday. On top of this my husband is a government vet which means he is dealing with equine influenza, and bushfires a the moment. So since Carl left idol I have been too busy to spit. But I am here now.

Oh I am also into Harry Potter, Septimus Fowl and the Inheritance Series. I moderate on a little hp forum where some of my best friends reside. I also have a poodle, and my claim to fame is I once had a brick named after me.

I'm 27, my names Kathy and I now work at a radiologist centre in one of SA's hospitals. (used to work for Dept of Corrections but have just changed jobs and I while its a bit stressful cos I'm still learning, I love it there!) Do all the bookings, medical typing, filing, reception...you name it, I'll be doing it basically! I love movies - I think my favourite most recent movie is Hairspray!! Just love that one! Love music - all sorts... Love my friends, tv, drawing... not necessarily in that order! I have a boyfriend, Garry, but to tell you the truth, things aren't really working out that well and I don't think its going to last much longer.. But we wont go into that here!! Have a pup named Ferret (he was very small and scrawny when we got him!) and a cat named puss-puss (dont' blame me for the cats name!!) And yes, I'm a Carlaholic but I don't want to be cured thanks!! My name is Pauline, I live in a lovely little country town called Laidley which is 1 hr drive west of Brisbane.
I was involuntarily retired on a medical redundancy 3 1/2 years ago....and although initially devastated, have discovered that there is a life after work!
I love my friends, we play cards once a week, socialize a lot, imbibe in alcoholic beverages regularly and generally have a lot of fun!
I have one son who recently became a Greek Orthodox Priest and while I don't have a religious bone in my body, or any greek blood, I am very proud of him.
I live with my gorgeous dog, Missy, and after a disasterous marriage and 3 bad relationships have decided I love being on my own!
I am really into photography, enter competitions and have won quite a few prizes. Favourite movie is 'On Golden Pond'.
Favourite music is everything...just love music!
Favourite artist - Carl Riseley (Elvis, Bryan Adams, Buble' )and all 'goldenoldies' hence my Idol user name!
Am landscaping my block and have a pond with a waterfall with 12 fish and lots of babies....wow!
Love my computer, (Addiction) did a Web Site Building course at TAFE a couple of years ago and enjoy being creative.
I knit, sew (am making a quilt at the moment) and have renovated my last 2 houses!

whilst Cassandra is not my real name, i like it because it is a name in no way connected to all the other stuff and am or do, like the husband, the kids, the work, yada yada yada ... i started using the internet about 10 years ago and have a nom de plume, Lucy Cannon, that my husband 'borrowed' to write a letter to the local paper ... it 'killed' Lucy for me and i've never really forgiven him!

so Cassandra i am when i just want to indulge myself and wander around in my own brain space!

i'm a complete magpie when it comes to likes and dislikes. i music i love everything from Green Day and Silverchair, to Split Enz and Tiffany Eckhardt, plus sixties-style r'n'b, soul and bluebeat. i grew up studying classical ballet and was a very successful dancer in one or two of my wilder fantasies ... as Natalie Goldberg (no, i have no idea who she is either, i just like this saying) once said, If I can't dance, I don't want to be part of your revolution.

favourite movies include Love Actually (yup, just like Carl - great minds, etc), Stranger than Fiction, Muriel's Wedding, Australian Rules, Singin' in the Rain (Gene Kelly is God!), Capote (great writer, great book, great actor ... ) and lots more i can't remember right now.

i'm also a Harry Potter-phile, and was devastated by the ignominious death of Professor Severus Snape, who is my favourite book character since Sydney Carton (A Tale of Two Cities) and Sherlock Holmes.

I love reading "About Me's"... but enough reading for me! Time for me to introduce myself.

My name is Lacey... but no one calls me that unless I'm in trouble, so just call me Lace or Lacey Face or Facey or Lacey Loo... I have a lot of nicknames. I'm 19 in January and will also be moving down to Brisbane to do a Bachelor of Creative Industries and a Graduate Diploma or Secondary Education. It sounds impressive when I say that, but I'm just studying to become an English and Drama teacher.

Currently I work at Woolworths. I work on checkouts, in smokeshop and in bakery. Dealing with disgruntled customers makes me want to bang my head against a wall, but the friends I've made at that job (both young and old) are great.

I love music, although I don't have a musical bone in my body. I'll listen to everything from Carl Riseley (YAY!) to Snow Patrol to Damien Rice to the Mamas and the Papas to David Bowie... Basically a bit of everything.

I love movies. My favourite is Labyrinth (David Bowie in tight tights!!) and as coincidental as it is, Love Actually is one of my favourite movies. I love a good rom-com. And a good tear jerker. Who doesn't?

I could not live without my best friend. It's as simple as that. He is the most amazing person in the world. Carl is a close second ;)

RL isn't too good at the moment... but these forums have given me a reason to smile and laugh out loud and I have become addicted. To Carl. To the forums. To you guys!!

My name is Dianne [most call me Di], but on-line I tend to go by my spirit-name.

I am a practicing pagan, and am into various alternative spiritualities - especially Celtic wisdom, Native North American shamanism and Feng Shui.

I am currently between jobs, but I have been a secondary school English/History/Social Studies teacher among other things. I have almost completed a Graduate Degree in Library management, and hope to get a gig in this field soon.

I love most music, but I adore jazz, big band, swing, country, and some folk music. Fave band is Spiral Dance - a Neo-pagan Celtic folk rock group here in Adelaide.

I science fiction and fantasy- movies or books, its all good.
Don't watch much TV - I'd rather read a book!

And I believe we can never have too many friends!

I'm Simone (lee is my middle name, but is my account name for like everything coz 'simone02' was taken in the first thing i tried it for, can't remember what it was though)
my biggest claim to fame is the owner of the 'HMAS RISELEY SAILS INTO SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE' sign haha
anyway I'm 16, in year 11 at school.. well year 12 now coz it started in term 4. I live in sydney, and first met carl at the ARIA awards.. if you want my myspace you can see photos of him (and one of me and him =]), so just PM me if you want the link.
anyway, i'm really into sport.. have played netball, soccer, softball and tennis throughout the years, but atm just playing netball coz of the dreaded three letters that are approaching very quickly.. the HSC. i love watching soccer especially, and the '02' in my account name is coz of Lucas Neill =].. love him and the whole Socceroos team, the highlight of my life was watching them play in Germany for the World Cp 06,, best memories
but this highlight is very closely followed by meeting Carl.. and i have to say i have not gotten this into Idol since 2003 and Shannon Noll (loved him), but i love Carl more than i ever loved Shannon. Carl has really gotten me into the big band style of music, i always liked it before but was never really into it.. i LOVE michael buble, but whenever i hear his songs i automatically think of Carl..and how he would go singing his songs.
Music has always been a part of my life, i've played piano since i was 7 and also played the trumpet throughout primary school but gave this up to focus more on piano (biggest regret ever giving that up haha).. my favourite bands are U2, Oasis, Crowded House and The Beatles (have seen the first three in concert) and now MR CARL RISELEY.
other than idol, i like watching home and away, summer heights high, the chaser, and kath and kim.
my favourite movie of ALL time is willy wonka and the chocolate factory and no this is not just because of carl, however i was absolutely thrilled to find out he loved it too..
funnily enough i also love 'love actually'
other great movies are goal!, grease and the sound of music..

Hi thought I would catch up in the forum and post some details about me.

My name is Jacky, alias Jackstar9 (Jackstar is the name given to me by some of my crazy friends and it stuck, the 9 is the best month of the year - according to me naturally lol) anyway i am 46, and work as a senior public servant in the Dept of Environment and Water here in Canberra, although took this year off to finish my accounting quals (I think they are proving more stressful than the last job I had). My hobbies are genealogy(family history), scrapbooking, going to the gym and movies, wine tasting, yeh I like that hobby a lot and have sampled a few good RISElings in my time :drunken: ), computing and photography.

I love my family, my immediate family is 2 kids, boy and girl, oh and of course I have a mad car fanatic hubby ! I also love my small white fluffy dog, 'ellie' my friends and movies and music. My fav movies are quite mixed, gone with the wind and old musicals through to matrix, harry potter, die hard, sliding doors, coyote ugly and general chick flicks including Carl's fav, love actually, and any really where tissues are usually required. My fav singer is Elton John (concert here next week can't wait ) Harry Connick Jnr, and naturally Carl. My fav bands are Matchbox 20, Human Nature and once apon a time but they will always be in my heart, Abba.

I hope I have some time to be here more often, although I return to work in mid January and in between am waiting for the arrival of my 1st grandchild . But for now Carl is singing to me as I study, and at least I feel relaxed when I hear his voice. Lovin this site a lot!!

I'm Clara from SA a fulltime public servant for the last 5 years as an office worker.

I have 2 cats although one is missing at the moment and awaiting his safe return (hopefully). Their names are Jackson and Bowie (named after their namesakes Michael and David). Their my pride and joy and couldn't have more different personalities. Bowie is adventurous and outgoing and Jackson is like a teddy bear, kind and beautiful soul, loves being an indoor cat! :cat:

I love most kinds of music/artists - some of my faves being Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Sneaky Sound System, Madonna, The Killers, Eurythmics, Guy and Carl of course!

TV shows I like are garden/cooking shows, Idol, DWTS, Smallville, Home and Away, Days of our lives, Rove on occasion, Dr Harry & movie of the weeks. Love a lot of the 80/90's stuff, I also have the Labyrinth on DVD, The Spellbinder series and Girl from Tomorrow.

I enjoyed reading the Harry Potter books, my fave actor in the film is Tom Felton and Jason Isaacs.

My fave cinema movies: James Bond - Casino Royale, All Pirates films, Harry Potter films, Spiderman, The Bourne Series with Matt Damon. I'm a big star wars fan, but I hated what Lucas did with the new instalments. I prefer the first 3 films, they were fantastic and well acted. Too much special effects and CGI overtaking everything in the new films, even the acting is disappointingly sub-par.

My favourite sport to watch and play is tennis and like swimming. I can't stand cricket and rugby but I like watching some of the footy - especially the home team the Adelaide Crows!

I come from an italian background, as my parents Maria and Guiseppe were born in Italy but met in Australia. My mum is naturalised, my dad a permanent resident. I have 1 sis and 1 bro, I'm the eldest (32 years old). My grandparents are both past away (on my mum's side) and had 8 kids 6 boys and 2 girls, my was worried she'll be the only girl lol. My dad's mum is the only surviving grandparent and lives in Italy with my dad's brothers and kids. I'm hoping to go to Italy one day soon, I'm saving up.

Hey everyone. My name is Chris and I'm 19 years old, living in Perth WA.

I have just completed my first year of uni, studying jazz saxophone at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts which is awesome. I am also involved playing tenor sax in the Perth concert band and am looking at getting a jazz group together with some mates early next year. I was Music Captain in high school and played in the school Concert Band, Big Band, Sax Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble on alto, tenor and baritone sax. As you can probably tell, I live music!!!

I love all types of music, but here are a couple that I really dig!

Michael Buble, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, James Morrison, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Dave Brubeck Quartet, Louis Armstrong, Jamie Cullum, Damien Leith, Guy Sebastien, David Campbell and Human Nature.

And lets not forget my latest addition to the list, Mr. Carl Riseley!!

Favourite movies are: Blood Diamond, Harry Potter Series, Lord of the Rings Series, Pirates of the Caribbean Series, Casino Royale, Hairspray, Transformers, Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile, The Departed, Titanic, Walk The Line and The Prestige.

Overall, I am an easy going music lover who just digs jazz and swing tunes.

We have more and more members joining up, which I think is fantastic. The support Carl is receiving from all of us is brilliant!

Hello everyone! Due to the fact that Kathy (ambercat, my daughter) is sick to death of me coming and reading over her shoulder while she’s on this forum (just kidding - she's very patient with me!) she suggested that I start my own account and join in the fun, so here I am! Carl Riseley has another fan old enough to be his mum! (Kath told me that there are other mums on here thank goodness!)

A little about myself. I am married and we have two children, and live on a hobby farm where we have a few cows, goats and chickens. My hubby is into hot rods and I hardly ever see him as he’s always in the shed! My loves are going to the movies with friends, music, a bit of reading and gardening. I work full time as an admin/clerical worker and hope to be able to retire in a few years if all goes well.

I don't normally watch Australian Idol but this year, I have to admit to being drawn in when I saw Carl and every week we watched and became more and more infatuated with him. Thank heavens every time the show came on, hubby would head off down to the shed which left Kath and I time to sit and enjoy every Carl performance in ecstacy! I am looking forward to coming on here more often and posting here and there, but just have to find a time when a certain ambercat is not on the computer! Nice to meet you all.

I've been lurking around here for a while and thought it was about time I started posting!

My name's Anne, I'm 32 and I live in Perth, WA. I'm a divorced single mum with a 13 year old son. I'm not currently working as I am having a few health problems.

I love most types of music but a few of my favourites are - Carl Riseley (of course!!), Damien Leith, Anthony Callea, Young Divas, Mika, ABBA, Bee Gees, Dido, Enya, Andrea Bocelli, Paul Potts.

There are so many movies I like but the ones that come to mind right this minute are - Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Game Plan, Stranger Than Fiction, Suddenly 30, all James Bond movies, Star Wars (especially episode III & VI), Secondhand Lions.

My favourite TV shows are - Australian Idol, Neighbours, All Saints, The Biggest Loser, Big Brother, The Amazing Race, Air Crash Investigation. I'm sure there are others but my brain's not working right now lol

Sports I like watching are - V8 Supercars (go Garth Tander!!), AFL, Soccer, Tennis and the Olympics & Commonwealth Games when they're on.

Anyway, I've bored you enough with my dribble ;)

I just want to say I think this site is amazing!! You guys have done such a fantastic job!!

Finally managed to get in here before Kath tonight and actually post something on here! I've been doing a lot of reading over her shoulder again as every time I walk in here, she's glued to the screen! She'll have to come and put a bomb under me tonight if she wants me to budge!!

Yes, count me as one of Carl's more 'mature' fans. ;) I think he's the bees knees!! (I remember he used that phrase in one of his video diaries and Kath and I had such a laugh over it! ) He's adorable!!
